OVTPA - Divisions

OVTPA has divisions based on horsemanship and skill. Each rider has an individual ranking and each team has a team ranking which is the total of the individual riders making up the team. Novice is ranked 1 and 2, Intermediates are ranked 3, 4 and Advanced are 5 and 6. So for an example, if an Open team of 3 members has two riders are ranked 6 and one rider is ranked 4 their team total is 16. Each new member will rank themselves on the membership form then they are evaluated over the next couple of penning by the directors and officers to approve the ranking or reassign the ranking.

OVTPA classes for 2012 are as follows:

2 Man Ranch Sorting

Open Ranch Sorting/ #7 incentive $15
#8 Ranch Sorting/ #5 incentive $15

Open Penning/ #10 incentive $20
#12 Penning/no incentive $15
Youth Penning/ No Entry Fee
#10 Penning/ #5 incentive $15

All classes have a top 10.

5 ride limit if you enter 1 you must draw one
This pertains to every class
